McPherson Raises $2,507.06 to Help Local Families
McPherson, KS – 24/7 Travel Store is pleased to announce the success of its Food Bank Fill-Up campaign, which raised over $48,000 across all locations to support local food banks. With donations from customers and team members reaching $26,083.84, and the company matching up to $3,000 per location, the campaign made a significant impact in the fight against hunger.

Thanks to the generosity of customers, team members, and local communities, this campaign made a meaningful impact in the fight against hunger.
Throughout September, donations from customers and communities totaled $26,083.84, with 24/7 Travel Store matching up to $3,000 per location, bringing the total to over $48,000. These funds will go directly to local food banks, helping them continue their critical work in supporting those in need.
“We are deeply grateful for the support we received across all our locations,” said Jackie Hynes, Director of Marketing at 24/7 Travel Store. “This campaign truly demonstrated the power of community and the importance of coming together for a common cause. We’re especially proud of the teamwork in Russell, Hays, and Goodland, where communities went above and beyond to achieve the full matching contribution. Our Colby location also showed outstanding community engagement, with their food bank representatives actively connecting with local residents to boost participation. Their efforts went beyond simply asking at the register, embodying the spirit of true community involvement.”
Local food bank representatives praised the campaign’s success. Cathy Berry of the Russell County Food Pantry shared, “The funds will go towards our Thanksgiving food baskets, which cost around $7,000. This donation fully covers that expense.”
Dawn Jolly from the Genesis Food Pantry in Sherman County expressed her appreciation for the Goodland store team, saying, “The associates at the register actively discussed the need for food assistance with customers. Their warmth and openness encouraged meaningful conversations about food insecurity, leading to donations that will support our Christmas program for families in need.”
Karen Couch, Executive Director of the Salina Emergency Aid and Food Bank, highlighted the importance of the funds raised, especially during the holiday season: “Our annual Holiday Bags alone cost over $13,000 this year. Thanks to this campaign, we can keep our shelves stocked with essential items like instant potatoes and stuffing.”
